Abstract In this study, indoor air quality was measured according to operating conditions of ventilation system in apartment and the minimum operation time of Air-Clinic system was predicted through analysis of concentration decrement as time goes of HCHO and VOC. And then application of Air-Clinic system through CFD analysis was investigated.
The obtained results are as follows.
1) The result of the indoor pollutant concentration measuring as operating ventilator is that the concentration decrease is the highest within 1hour. 2) The concentration was stabilized after 5hour on operating Air-Clinic system. Therefore the optimum operating time of Air-Clinic system is 5hours for saving energy. 3) The fresh air wasn't reached at bedroom and kitchen without Air-Clinic in CFD analysis result. 4) The results of comparing with a field measurement, CFD analysis and prediction results on steady state are that the more room volume is small and the airflow rate on ventilation system increases, the more the difference of results is small. 5) For accurate measurement on indoor air quality according to operating conditions of ventilator, After a distribution of indoor pollutant concentration is predicted through CFD analysis, it should be measured at multi-point. And then It should be decreased maximumly that error range of concentration value according to choice measuring point.
