Abstract Recently, energy depleting problem have risen seriously. Many studies of daylight responsive dimming system for saving of lighting energy in office buildings have been done actively but this system could not be used positively. Because the problem is occurred from the lack of daylight responsive dimming system's accuracy and stability. Daylight responsive dimming system's accuracy and stability depend on the calibration and the polling period. The determination of the best calibration time and polling period in this system doesn't occur underdimming. The determination gives occupants visual comfort and also energy saving. This study measured the most suitable calibration time and polling period for every sky condition.
