Abstract Today's IT server rooms of data centers require precise, stable environments in order for sensitive electronics to operate optimally and IT is advancing at a rapid pace, resulting in the cooling energy of data center has been steadily increasing. In this research, economical aspects of energy consumption and load-profile were studied through the survey of domestic data centers that need all year round cooling load. And through DOE-2 simulation program, energy using patterns of cooling system combined with real power density are compared and energy saving effects of data center are reviewed. Also energy conservation variables that effects the building energy were analyzed. The results are as follows, 1) The cooling load-profiles of IT sever room would be appeared within a fixed rate all around the year. 2) IT server heat load is at above 97% of cooling load and annual total cooling loads per square meter of IT server room would be from 5,800 to 17,800 kWh/㎡ in accordance with IT servers configuration.
