Abstract The purpose of this study is to provide the basis to determine the element of the healing environment required in the women’s hospital through the via comparison of recognition of medical related experts and patients. Method of study has used the documentary contemplation, in-dept interview survey, and questionnaire. A total of 56 detailed categories on 14 sub-categories in three ranges are derived to find the important factors. According to the priority analysis by the weighted value on such a healing environment element, it is derived with important categories of first priority. The derived factors are classification of identification/clarity, accessibility, privacy/crowding. The derived detail factors are circulation, intimacy of space, atmosphere, simplicity of medical examination, continuity of sign system, parking, layout, lighting/ventilation, efficiency of space, deinstitutionalization, temperature control privacy, gender, medical examination participation of family, space of family/visitor, nurse station. The derived important factors are expected to use as the basic data at the time of planning for major healing environment factors required for the medical related experts, operation bodies and patients.
