Abstract The purpose of this research is to examine the influence that the human body movement that exerts on the supply airflow of Wide Cover Type Personal Air-Conditioning(WCT-PAC) in ambient area and also to prove the effectiveness of WCT-PAC. The research was performed by the experiment and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic). As a result, after two seconds later than the human body movement was stopped in the closed space. the maximum wind velocity was 0.87m/s. The maximum wind velocity was 0.93m/s in back area of sedentary human body in the open space. The airflow was observed for 50 seconds after the movement was stopped. However, SVE3* of the supply airflow of WCT-PAC was much effective than SVE3* of Spot Cooling Type Personal Air-Conditioning(SC-PAC). The recovery time of supply airflow was less in WCT-PAC than SC-PAC.
