Abstract To present the material non-linearity, the Sub-layer model is used well for a long time as a simple analytical method in numerical analysis field. And the Bounding surface model is also a well known method in presenting complex behavior of material like the baushinger effect in which it is represented to metallic material non-linear behavior in cyclic loading. But the former model has a disadvantage for calculation efficiency and the latter one includes an uncertain hypothesis. Then the purpose of this paper is to develop a simple analytical method which can simulate the material behavior efficiently and accurately. The Sub-layer model is conducted as a basic model in this research and the Bounding surface concept is used during the formulation. By using macroscopic values which are derived from the Sub-layer model with various value of a yield stress microscopically. Finally, the validity of the proposed model is verified by comparing it with the numerical result of the Sub-layer.
