Abstract The object of this experimental study is to measure and interpret influenced factors which effect on the hardened concrete surface structure. However interpretation of the hardened concrete surface structure by experimental study will have difficulties. There are three main factors which effect on the hardened concrete surface structure. First various types of water cement ratio, second types of formwork materials, and size of steel bars. Those factors and various depth of concrete surface from 10mm to 50mm will influence on properties of concrete surface. So there are a number of reasons for carrying out this experimental study. On a fundamental level this study can be used to interpret total porosity and pore size distribution, because porosity and the whole size ranges of pore is a major component of the microstructure of the hardened concrete surface structure. It should be noted that if the depth of concrete surface is less than the maximum size of the coarse aggregate, the properties of concrete surface has more the amount of cement and water per unit volume of concrete, and less amount of aggregate per unit volume of concrete. This results will cause a poor quality of hardened concrete surface structure.
