| Abstract |
The housing shortage in Frnace after World WarⅡ was urged to built the mass product housing on modern concept which is basically premised economic and hygienic. Marseilles Unite d'Habitation was the result of the studies of Le Corbusier for 23 years from early 1920 on the urban high density dewelling in these point. Especially he suggested the technical means and machinery, individual liberty in architecutre, and the method was normalization, standardization, measure and proportion. Upmost of these was the organization of the personal and communal. This study is focused on the arrangement of the building, dwelling unit types and transformation of these following certain physical conditons of spaces. Unfortunately, this kind of studies has been very short in Korea and nowhere are precise studies on spatial configuraton of Marseilles Unite d'Habitation. What we need more is not just simple languages or concepts but the method of the specific spatial configuration, particulary, in Korea where absolutely have monotonous housing types. |
