Abstract In this study multi-zone simulation program CONTAM 2.4 which developed by NIST is used for modeling the actual apartment with air disinfection system which consists of dilution, filtration, ultra violet germicidal irradiation (UVGI). In this study simulation is carried out in case of varing the HRV air change rate, UVGI air change rate, filter grade and UVGI grade. Simulation result show that microbial contaminant is transported all over the apartment through opening door but air disinfection system can remove microbial contaminant over 90% even if HRV is only operated at air change rate 0.7 ACH.
