Abstract The purpose of this study is to test the optimum mix design of the concrete using hwangto binders that did not add to cement and chemical goods. The test results of this study are as follows. 1) According to the test results of the concrete containing Hwangto binder, the more the unit binder contents increased, the slump was higher. also when water-binder ratio was lower, the strengths expressed higher. Therefore, for the optimum mix design of the concrete using Hwangto binder, water-binder ratio should be used as little as possible within the range of guaranteeing workability, whereas unit binder contents should be used high as much as possible. 2) According to the test results of the concrete for enhancing fluidity, the more SP agent, natural detergent and PSP agent were added, the more the fluidity was enhanced. and specially when SP agent was added by 8%, the highest strength was expressed. In conclusion, in order to draw the optimum mix of the concrete using Hwangto binder, water-binder ratio should be used to the minimum within the range of guaranteeing workability, whereas unit binder contents should be used to the maximum. In the future, the in-depth research on water-binder ratio and unit binder contents, and the tests for durability should be progressed.
