Abstract This study examines how the students evaluate the color of classroom in university after renovation and investigates the color preference of students for the future. This study suggests one of the possible color selection for classrooms. The study was progressed through visiting renovated classrooms and POE(post occupancy evaluation) of the classroom.The results indicate that most students were satisfied with color of new classrooms. The renovation has increased the level of satisfaction on color and conditions of classroom in comparison with before. The level of satisfaction with the color of the architectural elements is high and the level of satisfaction is affected by color of other elements. The color image was affirmative, light, cheerful, lively, clear, and fresh and it also affected by the combination of elements. These results show the positive effect and insufficiency of color design in renovation. Also it shows that the color combination of architectural elements is one of the most important factors regarding satisfaction and image of classroom.
