Abstract The purpose of the study is to analyze the characteristics of the retail and entertainment mixed-use facility, focusing on the application of 3 consumption mode ; retailing, dining and entertainment. The results are produced through the case study, the literature study, the frequence analysis and the correlation analysis. The characteristics of the retail and entertainment mixed-use facility are reviewed relating to the location, the development scheme, the architectural formation and the spatial scale. The facilities are found more in the suburban area than in the urban central area, the least in the sub-central area. The development in singular scheme is more frequent than in multi-scheme. On the architectural formation, the order in frequence is district type, complex type and one building type. The average spatial scale is 124,866㎡ in gross building area(GBA) and 59,577㎡ in gross leasable area(GLA). The coexisting ratio of retailing vs dining vs entertainment in the retail and entertainment mixed-use facilities is found about 3:1:1. However, either GBA or GLA dose not effect the variation on the composition ratio of 3 consumption mode.
