Abstract This Study suggests incarnational characteristics of the place authenticity based on the co-relationship between various expressions of placenesses in contemporary architecture and the concepts on authenticity in field of philosophy. What this study observes are the conditions of authenticity related to experiences and creativeness of spaces which are not expressed as a pure and simple shape but evolved as various patterns. Thus this study has an aim to patternize of tangible characteristics that are not analyzed systematically until now even though it can be more important subject in architectural discussions. The results of analyze are such as a value of everyday-ness, memorial durability, site-specificity, aesthetics, participation design, sociopetal space, cultural vernacular. Each characteristic is subdivided by same analyzing tools of symbolic issue, design strategy, considerations, building image as well. These characteristics can be clues to expand of limitation that the third world's discussion on placenesses and the second study henceforth will be on concrete design strategies were not studied in this study.
