Abstract This study investigates engineering properties of concrete incorporating lime stone crushed fine aggregate(Ls), in order to consider the effective application of Ls, which has been abandoned about 20% of total production due to the low purity, in practical fields as a representative of concrete aggregate. Test results showed that increase of Ls incorporating ratio had favorable fluidity and decreased air content. For the properties of bleeding capacity and setting time of concrete, specimens using more Ls exhibited higher bleeding capacity and accelerated initial and final setting time in the range of one to two hours, which was not significantly different. For the mechanical properties, specimens incorporating higher ratio of Ls, overall, resulted in increase of compressive strength, but exhibited similar values in a dynamic elasticity modulus test. In addition, for the durability properties, specimens incorporating higher Ls dramatically decreased a drying shrinkage and showed similar tendency in a frost & thaw test, as well as having slightly effective results in an accelerated neutralization test.
