Abstract As an earth retaining method used structural members(girder, beam and column) of building, we developed Hybrid PC earth retaining method for improving SPS method. The Hybrid PC method that is applied in excavation work of underground 4 layers was evaluated about workability, economic efficiency and stability to the SPS method. Although, until install structural members of the second basement, the clinometer by Hybrid - PC method was slanted into Site inside, the clinometer is fixed without change almost after install the second basement and underground 1 layer floor frames(girder and beam). Construction cost of Hybrid PC method, as concretes amount of beams 163m3 and concrete amount of girders 355m3, is expense about 270 million won all, and reduced material costs of about 28% compared with existing SPS method. The Hybrid PC method could obtain structural members of high quality by elevation of construction, and thereby, maintenance of field became easy. Also, because an interval of post pile is wide, underground excavation work is easy. because it is no been a working process of fire-proofing protection of iron frame as that use beams and girders that is made from concrete, a working process simplified.
