| Abstract |
So far only fraction form of equation has been provided for deflection control in many design codes such as ACI 318 and Korean Building Code 2005. In this study, minimum thickness requirements for one-way slabs in various codes including ACI 318-05, BS 8110-1, and Eurocode 2(BS EN 2004) and a unified equation proposed by Scanlon and Lee were compared to provide more rational approach for the design of the reinforced concrete floor members. Span lengths, live loads, target allowable deflection limits were taken into account as parameters. |
