Abstract |
The objective of this study is to propose the analytical method of determining the natural frequency as a modal parameter of reinforced concrete slab at moment resisting frame structure. The method is summarized that the slab is modelled by two perpendicular beams at its mass center and the natural frequency is calculated by a ratio of effective stiffness and effective mass from potential energy and kinetic energy of the established beams, respectively. Based on the derived method, this study investigated the dynamic effects of the shape ratio of the slab, boundary conditions by the springs, the flexural rigidity of the slab, etc. The proposed method was compared with the existing experimental and analytical results, and its validity is illustrated. |
