| Abstract |
Apartment houses have been developed by the enlargement of quantitative supplies and economical theory since 1980's. This development of apartments has brought convenience to urban residents but, on the other side, it has caused various types of urban problems including destruction of ecological environments and traffic problems. These dwellings have been changed with introduction of the concept of 'eco-friendly' and 'environment-friendly' including the policy of eco-friendly buildings authentic in 2002. With these changes, now, urban residents' desire has also increased. So, there is a need to solve these big problems and suggest proper counter-plans and improvements such as; clean dwelling site, space for shelter to rest and enjoy, cultural life zone to elevate the quality of life. Thus, this study aims to suggest improvements of previous apartments(focused on Gwangju region) for the purpose of enhancing eco-friendly factors by analysing eco-friendly elements according to Korean environment-friendly certification standard. |
