Abstract In this study, the performance evaluations are conducted under the condition of composition ratio by 1:1 between individual hot water supply system accounting for 59.4% of the entire apartment and cold & hot water supply manifold system using functionally complex valves such as water hammer arrester, constant flow regulating valve and 3-way mixing valve in the 30 py apartment which consist of the largest part of the whole apartment. Also, water hammering caused by opening or closing the faucet, flow rate related to simultaneous use of faucets and change of hot water temperature are compared with the existing method. These are to show the possibility of improving performance of cold and hot water supply system. The results are as follows. It is indicated that the result given by installing water hammer arrester into both main header and sub header is similar to that of the end of pipe and faucet. And reduction of flow rate is considered the lowest in the method of manifold system through integration of functional valves of open type of faucets I~II. The result shows that the effect of integration functional header system could be improved providing water pressure is beyond 2.5kg/cm2 in open type of faucet I and water heater allowing hot water to be used in at the latest 2 faucets is installed.
