Abstract |
The influence of the angle of the solar cell panel, albedo of earth, reflectance of facade, building azimuth, and solar modules under shading on the power generation is mainly theoretically studied. For the validation of the theoretical work, experimental results(global irradiance, air temperature and PV module over surface temperature) are used with a wind velocity of the weather data of Suwon area, Korea, where the real building is located. The optimal orientation of a BIPV(Building integrated photovoltaic) as a shading device is not exact south, but south/east or south/west, if some shading is considered on the solar cell modules. In this work, the simulation program SOLCEL, for the calculation of a shading area, surface temperature of solar cell panel, effective solar radiation on solar cell panel and the power generation of a BIPV as a shading device, has been validated, and used to simulate parameter variation of the BIPV. |
