Abstract Recently, As more serious environmental problems of buildings, our country and the advanced countries are developing Green building assessment tools for estimating environmental performance of buildings. Especially, hospital architecture has acknowledged remedial value of environment as well as which have been relation with human beings relied on the quality of natural environment. So, it is not only desirable for the patients to make healing environment on the basis of eco-friendly architecture and the facilities have to be developed eco-environmentally. The purpose of this study is to prepare the basic data to develop the items of outdoor environmental assessment for hospital. Furthermore, for this research paper, we compared domestic green building certification criteria to foreign green building certification criteria, such as LEED v.2.2 and GBTool 2005. From the analysis results, we were able to grasp basic data of outdoor environment assessment for domestic hospital's Green Building Certification Criteria.
