Abstract |
The percent for art scheme is the government regulation that decorative art has to be installed at least 1 percentage of the whole construction cost in terms of improving cultural urban environment and promoting urban arts when the new construction or renovation of the building which is over the scale by the law. The policy has been introduced since 1980’s and it was settled by 1986’s Asian Game and 1988’s Olympic Game to support improving cultural urban space. This research investigates some problems and effective solutions in terms of cultural urban environment to improve the present condition depending on the information of Market-Research and the present installation. After collecting the analyzed results of the present condition and users' awareness, the guideline can be suggested with following ideas. The installation of public art in Busan should be considered the harmony with surrounding environment above all, but the function as public art, and effective explanation about the installed arts to public are also important factors to consider. In addition, in terms of public art in Busan, the main observer or user in the citizen in Busan. Therefore, it will be a good idea if the Busan's own or unique culture is involved into the installed art. |
