| Abstract |
Though the national housing supply rate of Korea has reached 100% in 2002, the housing situation of low income family has not been improved in that degree. Hence, in this research, we will compare the floor plans of SH apartment in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul who is in charge of distribution of rental apartment in Korea and PHA apartment in St. Paul, MN with the housing standard of various countries and the Ministry of Construction and Transportation to find out the problem of rental apartment floor plan of Korea and to suggest the solution.The scope of this research is 15 floor plans from 8 apartment complexes of SH apartment and 27 floor plans from 16 apartment complexes. The subject / content of this research is to examine the housing standard of various countries, to compare the average floor space for each units, and to analyze the each units' floor space with housing standard of various countries. Also, we tried to find out the demanding conditions of rental apartment through cross analysis of the number of household member and the required / necessary conditions (moving experiences, number of rooms, floor space, facilities and etc.).As a result, we found out the problems of rental apartment in Korea and the problem of housing standard of average floor space of each units and floor space. |
