Abstract |
This study is to analyze the impact of luminance and lighting area of a luminous source on the glare sensation vote (GSV). The study was conducted based on following steps.1) Existing glare evaluation formulas and previous studies were analyzed to determine experiment variations, variation scope, evaluation items and evaluation points that would be applied to discomfort glare evaluation experiments. To meet the purposes of the experiments, mock-up was built.2) Evaluation experiments were conducted to examine the impact of luminous area, luminance of luminous source by louver types and luminance ratio on GSV.3) By analyzing the result of the experiments, the correlation between the experiment variations and GSV was figured out. The result showed that the correlation coefficients between GSV and luminance of luminous source and between GSV and luminous area were 0.609 and 0.288 respectively while those between GSV and Louver intensity and between GSV and background luminance were -0.099 and -0.069 respectively. GSV is proportional to a luminous area. As a luminous area gets larger, louver density more affects GSV. As background luminance as a single variation has little impact on GSV, luminance of luminous source and luminance ratio should be discussed for GSV. |
