Abstract The purpose of this research is wishing to analyze the modification characteristics of Japanese migrant fishing village in Tong-yeong, Gyeongsangnam-do. During the colonial period of Korea, Hiroshima migrant fishing village was established in Misu-dong, Tong-yeong. In Hiroshima migrant fishing village, houses of different type were built by Japanese and Korean in different time. The first houses were built by Japanese in 1921 and the second houses were built by Korean for returnee's dwelliing after 1945 years. Each types were transfigured so differently and influences in Fishermen's life. To confirm what effect of physical environment causes to a person is an aim of this research.
