| Abstract |
This study aims to improve the residential environment of Rental Housing area on the basis of understanding of the residents' lifestyle. For this purpose, the living environment and the residents' behavior were analyzed by a survey and an interview. The improvement plans were adjusted and corrected to be more feasible by interviewing with some responsible experts. Residents' lifestyle is composed of two aspects, life in the neighborhood which is related to consumption and culture and life in each unit. This research investigated the residential areas with 800 to 2,000 housing units. As a result, it was found out that the boundary of people's lives in Rental Housing areas tended to be limited to the inside of their residential areas. Therefore, enhancing the residential environment inside of the area would contribute to the improvement of people's standards of living in Rental Housing as a whole. |
