Abstract |
The objective of this study is to develope improved liquid type high early strength agent(HESA), which can be added to concrete after mixing for the convenience of field application and can improve the long the term strength and the slump loss, which is major concern of existing HESA. And mock-up test is carried out to verify the applicability of developed HESA in the field. According to the results, the use of HESA can meet the requirement of slump and air content. There was no remarkable change on the long term strength, drying shrinkage and heat of hydration properties compared with those without HESA. Accordingly, it is found that the use of liquid type HESA developed herein to improve the problems of existing HESA such as slump and long term strength loss, can secure the stability against hydration heat, volumetric change and uniformity in quality regardless of the size for practical application as well as can achieve similar performance with conventional concrete. |
