Abstract |
This experimental study was conducted to investigate the effect of beam strengthening and anchorage of expanded net shape steel plate(ESP) used as reinforcements in RC beams strengthened with enlarged sections. Nineteen test specimens were manufactured. The variables were ratio of shear span to beam depth, the amount and arrangement type of chemical anchor bolts, strengthening depth of ESP and tensile steel ratio. The test results showed that ESP could be used effectively shear reinforcements as well as tensile reinforcements and was anchoraged well by virtue of high strength mortar filled up in the net shape of ESP, and chemical anchor bolts could be used to confirm anchorage and shear resistance of ESP in the net shape. |
