Abstract This research is focused on giving basic data about plans for entrance space of apartment, based on the post occupancy evaluation of the residents. The summary of the result is as follows: 1)The entrance space is used mainly for ventilation, view of outdoor and for space in which to put the large living goods. 2)The residents who are living in the smaller size of the apartment were higher satisfaction with putting the living goods and communication with their neighborhoods in the entrance space. 3)The requirement of residents for the entrance space can be divided into 4 patterns: "communication with nature", "storage" function, "individual character" and "community" function. 4)The level of requirement of residents for a entrance space appeared in the order of "communication with nature", "storage" function, "individual character". On the other hand they showed negative on "community" function. 5)It is necessary to plan entrance space as an active space, where expressing individuality space for light exercise, waiting and sleeking for going out and relaxing area with a view, beyond being only a passive space limited to the area for storage or ventilation.
