Abstract Recently, in large-scale projects of international competition, process design emerges as a design method. This trend has begun to the forefront between architecture and landscape as it expanded on urban design blurs. What distinguishing is that it suggests less crystallized form which tends to be the main feature of traditional architecture. Instead, it focuses more on strategy and process that allow public participation and the changes over long periods of time. Although it may seem to appear innovative, in fact, the methodology comes from a traditional way of park design which features ecological progressive growth. New urban park ideas are developed by some architects. They replace ecological elements with city life and culture. The methodology emerges in urban park design and develops in urban design area. Specially in urban street regeneration it adopts its theoretical idea and process into real communication with citizen It is rather based on the logic and flexible diagram than perspective-like fixed images. It is the integration of landscape and urban design fields and the undistinguishable role among the architects, planners and executors. This comprehensive method is to be said as an expression of wide-area design process that signifies the inclusion of a modern society's democratized issues.
