| Abstract |
This study is for the purpose of inquiring into the architectural property of the small-scale urban housing in modern Japan. Especially I worked over the appearances of the segmentation of housing building, focusing on ‘Segmental Characteristic of Housing Building’ - segmentation of housing building is planned with plural volume instead of one volume, even though the scale of the building is small. In this study I classified the segmentation type of housing building, basing on the fundamental components, dwelling units and other connections of the dwelling units, and could explain the segmental type of small-scale housing according to the properties, the functions, and the usage of element connecting plural volumes together. |
