Abstract This study surveyed the state of space management at university campus in Daegu and Gyeongbuk by questionaries. This study investigated and analyzed two types of questionaries for the department of space management and personal space manager. The questionaries was consisted of and the results of this study was summarized five categories such as space entry/information management, space assignment, space reservation/utilization, space operation/maintenance and management of space demand. The result is that the business computerization and automation only seemed to stay under the condition without solving online communication problems between department of administrations, except for a small minority of universities. Moreover, even though it takes the expense to change for the better in the capacity and function of the overall information system which was already built, it seems to be that there is little understanding of the necessity in development coping with the internal and external changing situations. In other words, it will be updated business system of space management in university through business process reengineering to increase the effect of total information system. A business model of space management can be proposed based on the effective and systematic relationship of the unit business of space management in the five categories. This model contains a system of information production-distribution-reproduction to linkage data generated by all departments of university and aims at the knowledge management of university.
