Abstract Measurement and recording of historic buildings have been usually carried with hand survey, but photogrammetry recently is applied to building surveying. The architectural photogrammetry is especially appropriate for traditional korean house, which is very hard for measurement because it has many roof curves and rugged surfaces. As a case study of the traditional house in modern age of korea, We choose official residence of a governor in goesan country which is registered cultural properties No.144. It shows the traditional rafter construction with korean tile finishing. This study is to check and solve problems in measurement and recording with korean traditional house. Proving survey process which solving problems in photogrammetry and hand survey, we expect some problems such as lack of distance by near buildings, covered measure part by plants, and ridged curves of roof and irregular facades. At a more advanced level, where a record of historic building is being made, the photographic record and hand survey methods will be an integral part of documentation.
