Abstract Recently, as a lot of high-rise residential buildings constructed, the decrease of infiltration causes high rate of indoor humidity due to energy saving and air-tightness which make humidity control hard. Because of this high rate of indoor humidity, condensation of windows’ interior surface becomes serious problem. First of all, the occurrence of indoor humidity has to be estimated to control the condensation. Accordingly, the amount of indoor humidity and temperature were measured in five residential units. The data shows that the relative humidity was around 41.6%, and absolute was around 0.0082kg/kg. Based on this data, the amount of condensation was estimated as 0.8∼1.2g/m3h. This research shows the algorithm and method for the possibility of condensation occurrence in high-rise residential building, and it can be estimated and predicted by the method.
