Abstract Chong Sang(總相,holistic interaction) is a philosophical concept of Buddhism which has a potentiality to be a ground anyone can find new meaning of contemporary philosophy and architecture on it. At these days, mutual understandings and various discourses between Western and Eastern thoughts, which were stagnated by metaphysical tradition, are begin with the deconstruction of western metaphysical thoughts. We can get a clue to promote the discourses from some notions of deconstructive thought. In this study, I investigate the meaning and significant relationship of Chong Sang in contemporary architectural thoughts which are in the way of infinite evolution indebted to usefulness of electric media and open concepts of contemporary philosophy, rhyzome or fold. It will produce a possibility for theorization of holistic interactive(Chong Sang,總相) thinking with examination of theoretical value in contemporary architecture.
