| Abstract |
In this study, as the basic step for developing partial radiant heating system that can improve thermal comfort of occupants with a high floor temperature, we purposed to make the design process of partial radiant heating system considering heating loads of residential units and to investigate the validity of developing partial radiant heating system. Research processes and methods are as follows. First, the concept of partial radiant heating system was developed comparing radiant hydronic heating system with Ondol. Second, the design process of partial radiant heating system was suggested considering both usual design process of radiant heating system and similar concepts of partial radiant heating system. Finally, to validate the design process, heating loads of a residential unit were simulated using EnergyPlus and floor temperature and heating area were analyzed using MS Excel according to the design process. |
