Abstract |
Military facilities are essential elements for maintaining a stable military force, and should have development priority over all other areas as long as national defense remains valid. Therefore, an early completion and strong implementation of a future-oriented comprehensive plan is needed. Analysis of current issues of military facilities are as follows: ⓛ Facilities : unreasonable locating of army post facilities, aging of buildings, lacking of training facilities. ② Aspects of facilities management and maintenance : problems due to simultaneous and hasty decision-making on location and construction. For improving these problems, this study proposes the application of the concept 'Military Town', where barracks, business facilities, supporting facilities, shooting range training facilities, housing and welfare facilities are integrated on a broad piece of land, on all units. And a concrete blueprint on the whereabouts to which they should be developed. |
