Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to derive the implication which makes sustainable town planning through citizen participation. The study was reviewed with a theoretical background concerning the structure of citizen-participation. Also, the study compares HamPyeong, Korea with Nagahama, Japan by applying time-series standards and Mastuo's 'town-making' structural model. Even though these cities started out with town-making with special contents, it had revealed that the process was totally different. As a result of the study, by comparing HamPyeong with Nagahama, it was clear that the function of municipality and first-stage of citizen participation process are the most different part. The model said that HamPyeong's major social principal was hierarchial, When Nagahama's was a sort of gemeinschaft. |
