It analysed by searching for the cases of more than 50-stories Skyscraper architecture at home and abroad, dividing the form generation elements into floor plan, cross section, and elevation for its symbolic external design. More specifically, the form of floor plan was divided into rectangular, circular, polygonal, and transformational form, that of cross section into composition of mass and solid forms. We can find the trend of skyscraper exterior design which is gradually moved to non uniform design. In spite of increasing building construction cost, new skyscraper owner wants to show to advantage. Another new trend of skyscraper exterior design element is about eco-design. Contemporary Architects think about natural source of energy, like solar energy and wind energy.
