| Abstract |
Natural ventilators in multi-family residential buildings should meet the need of reducing ventilation heat loss as well as providing good indoor air quality. Therefore, it is important to estimate the adequate area or length of natural ventilators based on reasonable performance measurement. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current performance characteristics and measurement methods of natural ventilators and to measure the ventilation performance of natural ventilators by laboratory tests and mock-up tests. By comparing the measurement results from different test methods, several considerations and recommendations were also discussed for evaluating performance of natural ventilators. |
