Abstract |
In this study the progressive collapse potential of steel structures with WUFB, RBS, and WCPF connections was investigated through fragility analysis. To take the uncertainty in material properties into account, fragility analyse were carried out with design variables such as yield strength, live load, and elastic modulus. The vertical deflection was used as a criterion for progressive collapse. According to analysis results, the maximum load factors were estimated to be 1.49, 1.56, and 1.73 for WUFB, WCPF, and RBS connections, respectively, when the probability of failure reached 100%. It was observed that the structure with RBS connections showed largest load factor at failure due to highly ductile behavior. |
