Abstract |
Recently university dormitories are being built as BTL and becoming Manhattanized, but operating systems, operating methods, and emergency measures with regards to such high rise dormitories are lacking. Under such circumstances, dormitories are classified as shared residences and follow the fire prevention standards of said category. Unlike shared residences, the usage practices and movement routes of the dormitories are unique, and the method of operation also differs from that of shared residences. Therefore, preparing fire prevention and fire safety measures in accordance with the standards of shared residences is inappropriate. Thus, this study selected the US, England, and Japan as subjects for comparative study, summarized and comparatively analyzed the safety and evacuation regulations regarding dormitories, and applied the simulex program to the general model of dormitories in accordance with the safety and evacuation regulations of each country to analyze performance. Also, the purpose of this study includes devising safety and evacuation regulations suited to the situation in our country and drafting data for establishing appropriate safety and evacuation standards. |
