Abstract |
Beam String Structure(BSS) is a structure system that is composed with beam, strut and string, and the structural capacity of this structure system is enhanced by introducing prestress force in string and controling the stress and deformation of beam. In this study, the design method and the character of composition in BSS were examined for the application to architectural design. At the result, It was examined that the structure capacity of BSS is raised as increasing a rise of beam and a sag of string, while the design methods to make increase a rise or a sag with intention to architectural expression are used. And 1~2 struts are efficient and popular in BSS, but various struts are used with intention to expression. Also, one way, two way and radial type plan arrangements are mainly used in BSS, futhermore it was presented that more crowed arrangements are used for expression. |
