Abstract |
This study is to analyze the spatial and function characteristics of public space in the latest Tokyo national museum·library. Public spaces are changed under the influence of modern society and culture of multiplicity. The aim of this research is grasp the tendency to receive of multiplicity in the public space for the mass of people. Multiplicity and change quickly is characteristic of the Modern society. Thus, Complexly of architecture space follows a logical consequence. Mass communication development demand change of art gallery, museum and library building's spacial composition. Because, we are able to appreciate a work of art and information retrieval at all time in any place. The result of this research is as fllows : 1) The outside space put emphasize the mass of people was free of approach and connection that was composed for maximizes expectancy of inside space. 2)The public space plane was composed addition of clear mass it wrap up solid rectangular mass. Architectural screen of public space design was understood to mean image of Japanese traditional architectura design element. 3)The public space of clear exterior covering reduce the boundary of inside and outside by property of matter. Therefor it laid the foundation of place identity and user was able to simple recognize space. 4)Intermediate space give independence to space, each of which can stand alone as an independent enough space by changed territory gradually. Then architectural space is characteristic of Multiplicity. Consequently, art gallery, museum and library tried to ranged itself as a culture space with the mass of people life that make an opportunity for come in contact with art, culture and information moreover make a meeting place by space there in such a well-known brand restaurant or cafe. Especially, Japanese traditional design was mostly adopted in the mass of people was free of a public space design that is full of suggestions. |
