Abstract Building construction projects are bigger and more complex, so, nowaday, construction field organization are also lager and more special to manage it efficiently. Therefore, construction manager's leadership is focused on the key issue for leading and managing the field organization. However, the condition and types of building construction projects are various, and the styles of construction manager's leadership are not same because of the characteristics of construction industry. The purpose of this study is to present the construction manager's leadership styles based on the condition of building projects by using Analytic Hierarchy Process. The results show that the strategic leadership style is most preferred without repeated projects and the educational leadership style is most preferred in repeated projects. In special, the revolutional leadership style is more preferred in high technological projects. It is revealed that the optimal construction manager's leadership styles are different according to the condition and types of building projects. In addition, it is possible that construction field manager who has the optimal leadership style with the condition of project increases the performance of project managements.
