Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of spatial materiality through the fabrication of Digital-texturing in contemporary architecture. Digital paradigm and technology affect the relation of materials and surface in architecture. It alters traditional production process to digital production process. With digital perforation and CNC machines are able to express non-load-bearing and load-bearing aesthetic decorations. Digital decoration is not a decoration but a spatial materiality. Digital-texturizing means to new formation of digital decoration, which has visual and spatial effects in materiality. This study is to emphasize new relationship between materiality and surface through digital technology.
