Abstract |
A slim floor beam using cold-formed steel(CFSlim beam) is developed for slim floor construction. In this study, 2 types of CFSlim beam section are proposed and structural tests are performed to evaluate the flexural capacity of the proposed sections for balanced loads at construction stage. Based on the discussion on the test results, we concluded that 1) the 2 types of CFSlim beam section exhibited satisfactory flexural behavior for positive and negative moment, 2) the left and right parts of CFSlim can be linked by welds or bolts, and 3) the effects of biaxial bending at bottom flange can be ignored. |
