Abstract The deflection and crack width of RC member is increased by the sliding between concrete and reinforcing steel, and this sliding depends on the bond properties. Accordingly, to consider the bond properties is very important in member design of the serviceability limit state. For this reason, to investigate the relationship between bond stress(τ) and Sliding(S) at stabilized crack stage of the flexural member, the tension test was carried out, new τ-S model which is suited to the bond properties at stabilized crack stage of the flexural member was proposed, and there is a good agreement between proposed model and experimental values.
