Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal performance of steel framed wall including heat bridge. The thermal performance is determined for wall system because steel-framed walls are comprised of various materials as usual. Light gauge steel framed housing offers many advantages, such as a fast construction or a low price, to the consumer and the builder. But the use of steel studs in wall systems cause thermal problems such as decrease of thermal performance and the cold bridge on walls. The main reason of such problems lies in the fact that steel studs create a heat bridge zone within the wall section. In such circumstances, this research aims at analyzing such problems through a simulation and an experiment of steel stud framed wall system according to wall composition.
