Abstract |
As self-governance system has settled down, citizen participation has been more active. Local governments make effort to encourage citizen participation by diverse methods. However most internet-based ones are limited to the young generation who can easily access to the information on the web. Even though people can get information in information centers, that is just focused on the specific projects. Here is proposed an urban planning gallery to inform citizens on diverse urban planning projects, help them to understand the necessity of urban planning and its various methods, and encourage citizen participation. Some guidances are suggested to design this urban planning gallery in the points of operation programs by analyzing experiences from not only the domestic but also the foreign cities, where urban planning information centers are built up and operated to give visitors diverse information services. |
